Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear Delegates,

Welcome to the third annual Potomac School Model UN Conference! On behalf of the rest of the delegates on Potomac MUN, we sincerely appreciate the support of PSMUNC I and II, as we have even greater plans and ambitions for PSMUNC III. While we have faced a handful of challenges in the past, this year, we have been working meticulously to plan an outstanding conference. We may be relatively small and newer in a scene of long and well-established conferences; however, our selection of fun and educational committees will truly show our dedication to the fun in MUN. 

This year’s theme, The Year of the Earth, aims to mimic current climate-based conversations concerning climate refugees, sinking islands, exacerbated mental health issues, and more. Interconnected and systemic issues require complex solutions, which delegates should strive to achieve. With more serious matters aside, we have plenty of entertaining committees as well. Between The Lorax, Roblox’s Grow a Garden, and Among Us, we hope everyone can find a committee that excites them! Thank you all for your time. We are ecstatic for you to join us at PSMUNC this year and hope you are, too.
